Rupert and Lin’s place is a real hidden gem in a beautiful part of Scotland. Whether you are a railway buff or not, there’s something quite surreal about the train rolling past the window, and some of the original features of the station building have been thoughtfully retained. The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable and had a modern kitchen with everything needed for a short stay or something longer. A dedicated parking space was right outside the apartment and a 30 second walk away from the Strathcarron hotel which offered a good meal. Rupert and Lin were very responsive to a couple of enquiries and left some lovely beer and jam in the apartment which was a very kind gesture. Don’t expect an amazing phone signal, or super fast WiFi, but why would you need it when you are staying in such a beautiful location.

We had a wonderful stay. Warm, spacious and comfortable and we felt at home straight away. The original ticket office features blended in beautifully. The location was great and we enjoyed day trips out to Skye and the stunning mountain scenery. Our hosts Rupert and Lin provided plenty of helpful information and advice. We highly recommend it.

The train station is a fantastic place that is super quiet and very much so a home. I've never relaxed faster in an Airbnb but with its peaceful atmosphere and really unique personality, I had no choice but to really enjoy my time there. I'll definitely be going back.

This is the second time we have stayed at Rupert and Lin’s place, but the first time in the Ticket Office. The accommodation is beautiful and great attention has been paid to detail. It is very spacious and spotlessly clean. Rupert and Lin have thought of everything you could need possibly need for a pleasant stay. They are very welcoming and friendly. The whole area is very scenic with lots of possibilities for sightseeing and walking. Highly recommended. We hope to return in the Spring.

The house was much bigger than appears in the photos, and so beautifully furnished. Very comfortable and with everything you could need. Lovely personal touches, and homemade jam. Rupert was a perfect host and we really didn't want to leave! Thanks Rupert and Lin, we're already planning our next stay :)

What a wonderful fascinating place to stay! Wish we had stayed for longer than our two nights! This Airbnb is of a VERY high standard and has everything we needed and more. The owners have put so much effort in to making it such a special place. Lots of places to visit in the area and we had a great time driving over to and around the Isle of Skye. Lochcarron was very close at hand for shops. Very highly recommended!

Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Beautiful and unique setting, the small number of trains arriving and departing were a highlight and a joy! Extensive amenities in the kitchen, range of fascinating books in the lounge and great to have two bathrooms and washing facilities (not that we needed the latter). Highly recommend and hope to return. The weather was also perfect for us!

This is a very special Airbnb. It is set in a very beautiful and quirky location of being above a quiet working station. We stayed at the Station Masters Apartment and it is amazing. The furnishings were so homely and made you feel immediately welcomed just as if you were walking into your own home. Clearly a lot of love, attention to detail and thought has been put into this beautiful space. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. This is one of the best Airbnb's that we have ever stayed at and our advice is that if it is free, book it.
